Hi all
so my 4B journey has been a rough one i started with a ford exploder which i drowned in a flood. Drove 500 k to get a motor from a wrecker it sat around a month before i put it in then lasted a week before self destructing.
So onto XJ jeeps brought 2 but the 5 ks per litre fuel costs were killing me plus wanted a big boy one. So brought a GU 2001 turbo 30di bugger me a week in and boom no compression in # 3 and pouring smoke so this week off with its head and we will see if its head or the dreaded 3.0 piston curse.
Epect lots of questions

Hey Avo what would putting posts all over the place have to do with a manual ? i was searching forums for info on timing chain replacement as i going to rebuild my 3.0 motor. I was commenting on stuff i found interesting. but i will do as u suggest i actually brought a hard copy manual today but may take a week to get to me. Which one do you recommend for my 2001 gu

Hi mate, yes you can sponsor the forum for a small feel and you get the sponsor banner under your name. The fees are due September 1 so maybe just hang around and sponsor for the 2017 year bud.

It happens [magic that is lol],, Hello and welcome to the forum.
jump in anytime and enjoy
You'll want the 2000-2006 ZD30 DI manual after that it went to a ZD30 CRD.
might want to read up on NADS as well when you have the motor going

page wont let me download any manuals it says ----Magician, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:---- dont know why but frustrating as hell

I didn't check it mate but it's 1200pages. If it's not the correct one post here and I'll see if someone an identify the supplement. I have 2 TDs so have no need for ZD30 info.
