ok so its a bit quiet at work so i did a quick recce and put two black and yellow tapes where you turn of the highway to the right, its 18.8k from the lakes roadhouse on the york road then proceed 2.1 k straight ahead go past nanguring rd and you will see two more tapes one either side of the road, turn left over the little creek and you are there, the creek was running today so with a bit more rain it should still be running saturday.

NISSANPATROL.COM.AU Members meet up disclaimer
This forum is a community of like-minded people who enjoy the great outdoors in their Patrols.

It is not an organisation or an incorporated club. It is a totally voluntary loose collection of people who share interests.

So it must be said that people who come along on members outings do so at their own risk, personal and material. Of course all care will be taken, however accidents can (and sometimes do) happen and that is the risk we all take on 4x4 outings.

It is expected each participant will carry appropriate insurance cover or be fully understanding of the level of insurance cover they have. This forum does not provide insurance to any participant.

Buffoonery or larrikinism won't be tolerated in this group for this very reason (I really don't expect this from our members anyway, but it needs to be said).

Likewise, if somebody is uncomfortable with any situation or decision made on an outing they are entitled to speak up and raise those concerns. Our group won't be pressuring people into situations they don't want to be in. Participants will be responsible for their own actions and entitled to make their own decisions.

So let's all get out there, have fun, make friends and enjoy the bush and each others company; but understand we all do so at our own risks.

Me and the missus will be there for the power lines. Will also have the kids following. They just got their first 4x4 and I reckon this will be a good trip for them to learn a few things. Also he drives a Triton... I figure everyone will be busy bagging out the Triton owner and they won't look at my bucket of bolts.

what happened to the idiots in the ranger? He drowned it with no snorkel.

The IC sits really low in those cars, I pulled some piping off and it was all full of water, even out of the inlet manifold.

Best thing was a tow truck for that bloke. It doesn't look good, I asked him to jump on here and tell us how he went but I would be surprised if no damage was done.

Thanks Kimbo, youre right though i did have a 93 N/A GQ but upgraded it to the GU you see in the pic about 1 1/2 year ago, what a difference. Credit has to go to previous owner who was setting it up for touring (but didnt happen). Only things ive done so far is add the roofrack & replaced the 3.9 diffs with 4.1's, also replaced the digioptions HU with a Kenwood one Thursday before the trip.

Daughter was playing her pick of music on the drive along the powerlines Sunday, then it was my turn but with the request "Dad dont play any of that old type stuff" so put on a mix of AC/DC, anyhow after 2 or 3 songs we pulled up to check a spot on the track, got back in the car & daughter had her music on again. Ahhhh the youth of today

Where does one acquire those little presents from?

I noticed Kimbo still checked the pressure afterwards though to be sure so are they unreliable or is it just what you do to be sure?

Yep it's pretty disgusting that people can spend the time to dump there shit there, but dont have the time tobtake it to a dump........ 4wd groups and clubs get together at least once a year and have a clean up at the track. There's always a fear that the authorities will shut it down, there's been many talks over the years about closing it but nothings happened about it yet. Others will know more about the inner wranglings of the talks. Unfortunately it's the same in several of the more local prime spots to 4wd....... too many folk with a don't give a shit attitude

Yep Stauns maybe slower (but then again probanly no slower that having to go round and deflate each tyre one by one) and a pain in the arse to initially set up, but once done, stick em on and let them do their work......

I dont use mine any more. Found the springs stuck so deflation pressures were inconsistent. Then sometimes i want 18psi and other times 25psi so had 2 set at 18 and 2 set at 25 and it took ages to deflate using only two of them. The Currie deflator, while more work, at least achieves consistent pressures and whatever pressure you want.

G`day Guys
I use the end off an old hand pump or foot pump ( the one with the lever that folds down and pushes on the valve) these hold the valve open and it takes very little time to drop pressures.
I must say that I was the last to leave the camp at the meet up and did a walk around and the place was spick and span,(didn`t even find any chunder)Well done guys and gals.

That is the reason I never got them, I always decide what pressure I will drop too at the time. I usually go 30 for long dirt tracks and sand can be anywhere between 25 and 10 depending on the conditions.

I can not thank AVO and his wife enough for letting me camp on the property for few days. I've been on the road for a 100 days , and have been doing a lot of remote and bush camping as I'm pretty well set up to stay remote for a few weeks at a time. Any way l don't think l can carry enough pizz to stay too long LMAO.
It's very helpful to get local knowledge, on things like accessibility and track conditions, especially when like me you traveling alone.
