Got the gu all back together today. Nothing exciting to report other than it runs just as Nissan intended, throw out bearing is a bit noisey so that looks like the next job to get done. I'm thinking my brother might just let his wallet recover a little first. New rings, bearings, head, injectors, turbo, radiator, timing belt kit, filters, fluids etc has his back pocket feeling a bit light this week. Can't complain but, he picked it up last Sunday for $3500 with some real nasty noises under the bonnet and drove it home this afternoon all happy. Cost was about $2000 in parts, we are both in the diesel trade, he is a parts manager and I'm a mechanic so huge savings on parts and free labour...
