Are you looking for info a particular type of tool? Hand tool, pneumatic or battery?

I find them hit and miss. Most have been really good but all the cordless stuff was crap....

I've bout a heap of stuff from Aldi over the years and been very happy with the quality. Had one warranty claim and they replaced it, no questions asked. Even covered postage.
I've got two of their TVs, compressor and all their air tools, compound mitre saw and lots if other stuff.

I should also add, any issues I had with cordless stuff was replaced under warranty, including batteries. So yes great customer service [emoji3]

nothing in particular I saw they had some specials this week, one being a petrol powered high pressure hose setup. then saw they had a special on drill bits which perked my interest but if its rubbish there's no point buying it.

I've had no issues with there stuff. Even returned a tablet within its 30 day satisfaction guarantee, no questions asked. Have had one of their 3 way fridges and tyre compressor for almost 10 years never had a problem.

I found their drill bits to be rubbish. Blunt from factoy it seems and snap easily if you are drilling into anything harder than plastic. Cordless stuff is not the best. Did not last very long, if you are on a budget I would personally suggest Ryobi One stuff from bunnings. I have been very happy with eveything else I've tried fome Aldi that I haven't mentioned above

Cheers, Danny

Garage is full of Aldi tools and have never skipped a beat. Everything from spanners to cordless drills a stud finder...
Regulary use the cordless drills etc at work and never skipped a beat.
The only issue I ever had with an Aldi product is the car stereo I bought which was awesome! But the usb socket failed within the 1st week...
Unfortunately when I returned it, they had no stock left, so I had to get the $ back which i was spewing as the deck was great.

Thats the only negative with buying things from there. The product they sell this week isn't going to be there next week or until they "may" have it again in a few weeks? months? So a lot of times with tools you can't take it and get a swap over , unless they have left overs at another store... So you're somewhat forced to get a refund. Which they don't hesitate to honor one bit.

The question was if they are any good and not if you just bought some but I suppose you get an extra post count:)

I would never buy drill bits from them again no matter how cheap. Drill bits which aren't straight are worthless. The set of three builders squares I bought weren't square.

I did get a cordless drill from them a couple of years ago. Came with two batteries, one of which died within a few weeks. They replaced it, & the replacement died about a year later. I still use the drill with the remaining battery. Not in the same league as my Makita stuff, but wouldn't expect it to be given the large price difference, but has been useful many times when a smaller drill was needed to gain access. It'll be a shame when the remaining battery dies as Aldi no longer have suitable replacements.

I would consider buying other cheap tools from them if accuracy was not essential for the job, & would purchase on the basis of expecting to use the tool for a one off job, with any greater use than that being a 'bonus'.

I've had an aldi air compressor (50L tank direct drive) for about 3-4 years now and it's petty good. It is rediculously noisy, like can't work near it without proper hearing protection. It also rattles like nothing else. For what I paid for it I'm happy. Would I buy another one if I was in the market for another "shop" air compressor, No. I would rather spend the extra money and get a belt driven one that you can be near and not go deaf.

Nah! The stool is so old mate's bare arse is comfy.
The lady may still need knee pads. Next aisle over perhaps?
