Transfer Case seal

seem to have leak from the transfer case front prop shaft seal
has anybody got any advice / experience in changing this seal?

Hello and welcome to the forum. I would suggest following the advice given when you signed up. Welcome a bunch of new members, get your 25 posts and download the manual.

For a GQ you will need a deep 32 mm impact socket for the flange nut and a good quality breaker bar or rattle gun.

If you have access to a big rattle gun , the job should be easy.

You can use a long screwdriver or pry bar to hold the flange while undoing the nut. For a safer way, if you have a drill, a welder, and an old bit of pipe about 800mm - 1m long, make yourself a flange spanner and get a long breaker bar.

I have done a seal, bit of work but achievable.

The picture is of the flange spanner I made from scrap. A 4-5 mm thick piece of mild steel strap with a few holes drilled in it would work just as well.
