I bought a jeep! And soon after realized the errors of my ways so that's now the wifes daily, still it's a capable off roader and I've got a bit of a soft spot for it. It got me into 4wd and offroad and into the local 4wd club. It didn't take long before i got sick of hearing things like "you can't take that, it won't make it" or "don't do it you'll brake it" etc etc. Which is fair enough, it was a family car and had to be reliable.http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb373/tim_pato/Mobile%20Uploads/20160515_153200_zpsiizpeqpk.jpg (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/tim_pato/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160515_153200_zpsiizpeqpk.jpg.html)So i decided i needed something capable and cheap so i got the gq.http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb373/tim_pato/Mobile%20Uploads/20160328_180205_zps0ji8qqn7.jpg (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/tim_pato/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160328_180205_zps0ji8qqn7.jpg.html)Straight panels , no rust, 88 model tb42 carby. Picked it up for $1600 with 6 weeks rego. 3" lift and 33"s. 450xxx klms so far I've put a kit through the carby, power steering pump, replaced all the rad and heater hoses and got the carby reco'd. Some one has changed the diff centres at some point and the limo is still nice and tight and i welded a crack in the front diff. I've fitted bf Fairmont front seats, changed the back seats and the carpet and windscreen rubber. Adjusted the steering box and added a light bar and uhf. I'm currently in the process of putting a bf falcon 6cyl motor in and then turbo'ing it. I've got the motor, turbo kit, clutch kit and the bell housing, ( all though dellows sent me the wrong so i have to send it back.) Waiting on the engine mounts now so i can sit it in place and start making the wiring harness. I bought another patrol for spares and so i can do the conversion in it and bolt it all in mine when it's done so i Don't have to have mine off the road for 6 months. Eventually I'd like to go 2" body 4" suspension , 35"s 4.6 diff gears , and front locker. Still goes ok though and surprises me how well it goes off road, still getting used to how low the diff centres sit though. I've had it a few months now and all up owes me 3k with 12 months rego. Very happy with it :-) and loving every minute of it. When i first got it http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb373/tim_pato/Mobile%20Uploads/20160116_183450_zpsuvve6ejy.jpg (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/tim_pato/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160116_183450_zpsuvve6ejy.jpg.html)http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb373/tim_pato/Mobile%20Uploads/20160116_183505_zpsvobssyy0.jpg (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/tim_pato/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160116_183505_zpsvobssyy0.jpg.html)

Hey mate, welcome. 6" of lift, plus 35's is a high car. Personally I'm not a fan of big lifts, I reckon trimming the guards and 2-3" lift + 35s will see you getting just as far, if not further.
