A big mouth who backed it up with the biggest heart, beautiful feet, the heaviest hands and high moral values. A true legend.

Others have big mouths but none of the rest and are mere shadows of this great man.

RIP Muhammad Ali.

Great man, stood up for his beliefs and people to his detriment during his early career. Never looked back after that.

Vale Muhammad Ali

As a sign of respect can one of the mods please update the thread title to fix the spelling of his name?

I spent many hours late last year watching his old videos of interviews, fight clips, workshops, talks, etc etc, as well as reading.
I realized this man has made such a positive impact on many people including myself.
Of all the greatest actions he's ever taken, refusing to be drafted to the army to fight in Vietnam war was the greatest act IMO.
The courage and conviction he had to do that was unprecedented and inspirational to many, regardless of Ali's motive to do that.
He also had the courage to apologize for his betrayal of Malcolm X.
I drew a lot inspiration out of Ali to do something good out of my life, and I'm sure millions of people have.
There won't be anyone like him again.
He was a gift.
Ali has taught us what to do with our lives as well as what not to do with our lives.
Thank you Ali, for inspiring us to do something good with our lives.
And thank you for your poetry and humour.
Peace to you Ali.

P.S

Watch the five minutes from 2:24:30 to 2:29:56. One of the funniest showmanship by Ali.

This is a clip of pretty clever spoken poetry by Ali with Parkinson back in 70's.

Yep, Ali obviously took it bit too far causing the deterioration of his health, but that's exactly the lesson he taught us.
Ali was driven by the need for more money to take care of people that surrounded him, which meant a lot to him and he enjoyed that as well. It's pretty hard to judge him, as he was phenomenal. We can only learn from him.
