Hey guys

I need some help....

Started my 4.8 this evening and it went straight into limp mode. I have a code reader and I got P0134, P1122 and U1000. I cleared the codes but the engine light, limp mode and A/T light came back straight away after restarting. I fiddled with all the cables under the bonnet, cleared the codes and all was ok. For now!
Question: Where is the ecu? Any tips as to where I should be looking for earths etc for these codes?

Thanking you!

Nick

P1122 relates to electric throttle control.
Tech notes for this error say to Start by performing the "Idle Air Volume Learning Procedure", if the problem persist the Electric Throttle Control Actuator may need to be replaced.
P0134 relates to the O2 sensor circuit.
I seen a mention that there was a technical service bulletin for that particular error code but can not find it.

I know thats not much to go on but its a start

Prob a little late, but replacing o2 sensors and preforming idle air learn permanently rid my 4.8 of P1122. Been a good 3 months now.

Thanks... My problem seems to only occur after i've been wading or driving through heavy rain. 99% of the time I have no problem, so it's hard to diagnose and fix. I now know to avoid wet stuff or be prepared to deal with the issues if I don't!

Cheers

Is it possible that you have a leak that drips onto the ECU when it rains. Then it drys out and all is good again?
I have never had this problem with mine but something similar had happen to me years ago with an XF Falcon. My Patrol is a 4.5L and the ECU is behind the left hand side kick board. Just putting it out there.........
