I've discovered a coolant leak this afternoon. Its coming from the hose that is connected to a pipe that comes off the thermostat housing and runs along the side if the motor. It then, the hose in question run up to the firewall.
A few pic, hard to get it.

This is where it joints to the metal pipe.

This the hose at the other end.

Question.
If im to remove this hose will I loss a lot of coolant, is it best to drain the radiator first? The coolant is only about a month old.

Would this be available from Burson of the like, if would I need to ho the Mr Nissan

Vice grips on the hose on the other side of that connector and one at the motor end of the hose that needs replacing and then put the new hose on the connector first then run it along where it needs to go and do a quick, switcharoonee, and coolant loss is kept to a minimum.
As for the hose, being moulded, maybe Gates might do one or Mackay. Bug it might be just oem.
You can look up on the Gates website per application. You might be lucky.

Can anyone confirm that the hose that I'm pointing to is heater hose front 1. Going by the Google images it looks like it.

This is the way it is fitted.

Different to my set up, sorry but I replaced two heater hoses with Gates
so hopefully they will have one.
I sourced mine from CBC bearings in Airport West

Done. I was expecting to see a crack around where the clamp is, but upon inspection the hose looked fine. Must have been those factory clamps.

Replaced hose with two new clamps. All good now.
