Hi All,

Just moved to Australia and needed a used car at a good price until we have settled and have a bigger budget.

Our sensible search was a sedan, but, being outdoor people, both my wife and I have been itching for a 4x4. On our searches I stumbled across a '94 4.2l diesel DX Patrol. Now I have no knowledge of the Patrol range, always thought I would get a land cruiser one day (oops did i say that out loud :-) ), but when I met my Patrol it was love at first sight!

Had her checked out by a trusted mechanic and he's impressed, so we should be getting her tomorrow afternoon. I know it's a bit of a risky buy, mileage and age etc... but here we go :1087:

Anyway see ya later...

Thanks mate. Does the td42 not mean a turbo diesel?

Thanks mate. Does the td42 not mean a turbo diesel?

TD42 = 4.2 diesel naturally aspirated
TD42T = 4.2 turbo diesel
TD42Ti = 4.2 turbo diesel intercooled

Yeah, always been my fav colour. Was super stoked find this one. Already browsing for a roof carrier "rack" and some spotlights. Got to watch the budget tho, i see i'm gonna easily spend more "dressing her up" than what i even paid for her!

haha... yeah, my wifes into horses, and i've often seen a bumper sticker on a float that says: "into horses, outta cash". I think that can be very easily applied to 4WD.
Anyhow, time for some sleep. See u later.
