Yeah I saw that and I'm a member... but they never have good deals on Oztent. $999 Club price? That's every day price at Rays for an Rv4 for example.

Rays and BCF are owned by the same mob aren't they? They seem to be closing a lot of Ray stores in Melbourne lately. The one in Dandenong went, then the one in the city and Maribynong shut its door a few weeks ago...

Yep all part of the super group ( supercheap rays Bcf ), pretty much the most expensive shops around , i find autopro , repco , and my locally owned camping store , and local mossops tackle shops substantially cheaper , and actually have usefull staff !

I have one of those tents and it is just crap... Paper thin canvas which water just soaks through in great volume.

I take back what I said...
Just checked and even rays is the same retail price... I swear few weeks ago I looked and it was $999, they even had it on special for $899 few months back... I have a photo on the pc at home...
So if they're owned by same mob, then it makes sense. BCF has a special, but at the same time they bump the price at the other store... Good selling practice lol.
Still wish I could find the original OZtents. I think Cuppa has one.

Must be a different one as Phil's has been through summer
storms on the Murray and came through with flying colours.
A few time freezing up at Sheep Yard Flats , Phil made a
ground sheet, I'd recommend one .great tent IMO
And he treated all the seams and wet it down a few times
before using it in the great outdoors ,,thats the key to long life

wait till bcf have their specials and then go to anaconda, they'll beat an advertised special by 10% as long as their is a store with stock close by. Thats what I did with my Blackwolf turbo.

I think it's a great easy set up tent but I just can't trust it in heavy rain anymore.
Horrible experience!!!

No bumsteer at all. I think those Wolf tents are good value and some of them seem to be on special... But poor form on advertising other tents on being on special, when in reality.....

Yeah we used it all the way home from Krisso's last year and slept in it for over a week. Rained nearly every day and we got drenched every day. We ended up booking cabins and cut the trip short and zipped home ASAP.
They are an awesome summer tent! But if the clouds are about I will leave it at home... Lol

Totally agree when it comes to autopro. My local one has excellent service from staff who know their shiz. I go there first up every time. Supercheap though.......well thats a totally different story! Staff their could not give a flying fox and i darken their doorstep under sufferance only.

A good cheap tent is the Colman instant up tent, $220.
It is a bit thin on the floor nothing a tarp on the floor can't fix.
Have used it in tropical and -4 high country trips with teaming rain and snow.
Stayed dry and super easy to set up, less than 5 minutes from start to finish.

A workmate picked up his tent and accessories when they had their last % off sale, was happy with the price & service.
I think that every BCF is only as good as the staff, the local one seems pretty good, SCA everyday prices are sometimes better than the Repco 30% off prices, but not always.
BCF seems to be taking notice of their customer surveys & making improvements all the time. If you can get along to a members night you can get some good bargains.
