We were no where near any ANZAC services this morning, leading a club trip I called the members to the fire and said a few words, spoke the ode and had a moments silence.
Even though we were in the bush with no bugles, cenotaph or memorials it was quite a moving memorial.
Proud to have been part of it.
Lest we forget.

Went to my home town for the end of the service followed by the RSL.

It was packed, one of the best turnouts I've seen down there.

The mid-morning service at Portland was very moving. An ex-nurse was the speaker and her message was this is not glorifying war but thanking and remembering those that
left their lives behind so that we can enjoy our freedom. I finally watched the Light Horsemen on SBS on demand today. Not glossed over but very real.
Lest we forget
