Has this just happened or have you purchased a td42 for conversion or replacement?

What did the rebuild entail? Did you build it yourself or someone else?

OK. Sorry about all the questions. Was the block completely stripped? So all the gear train off the front, filter housing, relief etc etc?
It wont be the relief (valve on passenger side of block) as if there was a problem with it this then your oil pressure would be affected. Possibly something blocking a gallery, which could be a range of things but is most llikely.

So would it be ok to get oil from a different spot or should i keep trying to find the problem

There might be an oil gallery plug not installed ?

Does anyone know if there is anything else that runs of these oil galleries

The cam is on that side. It needs to be inspected to find the problem before you ruin your new motor. You can get oil from somewhere else but if something else is running dry that you cant see then it wont end well.

I know this is the last thing you want to hear mate but i ignored advice from matty and ben and the motor failed. .. i should have pulled it out and looked into it properly. . Feels like you are going backwards sometimes but better this than what i went through.
