How can you even ask the question, of course he was that good.
Who else can make a hand-grenade out of a pine cone and sap.
Everybody still uses the term "Macgyver it" when having to come up with an unusual fix for a problem.

Nah, Mythbusters keep trying his so called solutions and he doesn't cut it.

In the first episode MacGyver plugs a sulfuric acid leak with chocolate. He states that chocolate contains sucrose and glucose. The acid reacts with the sugars to form elemental carbon and a thick gummy residue.
This was proved to be correct on Mythbusters.

I think Burn Notice was like an updated McGyver, more about improvised explosives & no one ever got hurt.

After reading wine makers' big trip thread I'm thinking he and his push may well be the Khazakstani version of Macguyver.

Wonder if they got the series on the box over there?

Edit:- Kazakhstani sorry wine maker

I think this is meant to be here John.

Todays episode he crash landed a Cessna in heavily wooded terrain then breaking off the front wheel
he made a small dug out if I could call it that about 5' long .
He then bolted that to the front wheel of his Cessna, he had one of the lackeys dig a trench
100mtrs long,,,,,He then hit the throttle as we watched the plane slowly[go with it] make its way
down the clearance towards some trees, ,,,,hold your breathe next time the planes going flat out
and up up and away, amazing, then to land he had them foam up the runway so the wooden front wheel
wouldnt catch fire,,, believe it or not he landed it all safe and sound,,,,,,Macgyver what a guy,,,,,,lol
