Hi there all , My name is Hopkins and this is my first time of ever been involved in any kind of forum. I am not the best speller so forgive me for any words that don't make any cents.
I have a 1997 Nissan GQ with a RD28 under the hood, its has a top mount intercooler with a bonnet scoup, 3 inch exhaust , a 3,1/2 inch stanless steel snockel into a carbon firber filter housing.
The under side of the car has 3 inch lift , overhauled lower rear diff controlled arms, frount ARB diff lock and had a coustom rear panel chop but only running 31 inch good year wrangler MTR 's ,a small tyre but it makes you think about line you take and not all ways point and shout.
I have had my patrol for about 6 ,1/2 years and has been a great thing non stop and never let me or my family down, done many trips away up and down the coast and pulled our camper just as far and been such a great thing.
The engine is just about to hit the big 400,000 km but the way the patrol goes and drives you would not think it had done that much work.
I have only just had the fuel pump done up and at the same time I am replacing the hydraulic lifters due to one becoming real bad.
I did not think it would be that bad to replace the lifter's but my word do you think I could find the lifter's I need.
I have lifters's 26.8mm high in my engine not the 26mm high as you would find in any GQ/GY engine ,evey parts shop, cylinder head shop, and engine building shop keep saying the same thing ???????????? no idear.
I got a part number from Nissan and done some looking up and found that my engine is a japan engine and not the Australia type engine and have had a S*#T time finding the lifter's I need.
I have found a seller in japan and got the lifter's coming but will have to wait some time, sorry to say but quicker than Nissan (3 to 4 ) weeks.
Long story short has any one else had or come across this before?
Hope you guys can give me some kind of info if you have or heard of this before ,cheers

Welcome to the forum mate, if you don't get any answers here you should start a new thread with your questions as a lot of people don't read the introductions.
