Hey all.

I'm always looking for ways to get a bit more out of my GU RD28 and I saw some threads on here discussing aftermarket bonnet scoops increasing the performance of the factory IC.
The ARE scoop looks beaut on some of the Patrols on here so I sussed out their website, and they make some claims of efficiency increases with some good numbers but TBH it doesn't mean much to me.

With a bigger scoop I suppose the IC becomes more efficient, EGTs may drop, but would the cooler air going into the engine be have a positive performance impact?
Can someone translate the ARE claims into real-world results?

I'm tempted to get a scoop just for the looks but the price is throwing me a bit.

Cheers all!

I was one of the first here with a scoop, sorry but I did no before or after figures.
As it is now my EGTs are around 200C about town, IMO it is keeping my EGTs down
and looks ok to boot, They are a tad Pricey but compared to fitting a $1300 intercooler
combo the value is there in bang for Buck, gotta go out but Ill be back in a tick
