As a man from Nth of the border, I think it would be quite ironic if the Swans won Victoria's premier football code and if the Storm won NSW's.

It was a warmish saturday arvo and there was 4 of us at work 3 carlton me, my dad and my uncle 1 don my dads mate, we dropped all the tools at the first bounce and where glued to the radio till we got that last goal on the siren and me and my uncle started cheering and jumping around like a pair of ferals lmao cant remember the granny tho haha.

Last game i went to was last july when we played Richmond, my mate got me on the field to help hold up the banner and front row of the cheer squad on the pompoms hahaha. The following week i flew to brissy and bought my trol!! Isnt it funny how people from over east come to WA and automatically dislike the eagles. I moved from NSW to WA in 2003 and having never followed aussie rules didnt know much about any of the teams but i instantly knew that i didnt like the eagles, must have something to do way the media favoured the eagles and snubbed the dockers, not so bad these days but back then it was shocking. i dont support either team but i love it when the dockers beat the eagles, thier fans are so easy to wind up. Its looking very good now mate lol, it would have been good to have a fairytale ending for Carlton to make the finals but it wasn't meant to be. Fortunately for us we played finals but realistically if Essendon didn't stuff up we wouldn't have played these last two weeks, in a nut shell it was good for the younger players to get some finals action and extra game experience.

The turf was shocking as players from both sides couldn't stand, the umpiring was horrendous as there was some bad calls made in favor of both teams but at the end of the day Sydney outplayed the blues and showed them why they made the top 4.
