Ok I'm stuck...
Running the camera cable through and i'm at the barn door but to do it properly I need the external trim off to reach the cable gromets etc... Has anybody taken this off before and how exactly is it done?? Supposedly there is 2 large Phillips heads I'm meant to get at but cannot see them anywhere? The external plastic bit that the Patrol logo sits on, am I meant to just yank that off? Is it just the usual shitty Nissan clips ?
I've looked at the manual as well as done some googling but I'm getting conflicting results.

I don't think so I had the plate and that black panel it sits on off and saw nothing...

It's not as embarrassing on bin days. Tinnies don't make as much noise, when garbo empties bins, so neighbors won't know i'm a full alco....

If you look at the drawing from the manual it shows they go through the door on that 45 angle section. You may not be able to see them. I can't remember but I have had it off. I do remember having to use my 1/4" socket set with a long extension through a strategic hole in the skin to undo something. Sorry no pics.
Yes the clips just pop.

Heads up. Avoid placing the camera anywhere near the number plate light. My camera is useless at night with my lights on as its blinded by the Numberplate light.

I reckon I can nearly see one of the bolts in that first pic when I zoom in? Maybe?

I agree you will have to take the Numberplate off to as I think the mounting screws penetrate the skin too.

Thanks Darren. So... My confusion is, do I have to take the first plastic panel off first to get to the bolts? So, after taking the number plate off and the light above it, the first step is to just yank on the whole plastic bit I've circled in red ??

Also, thanks for the heads up on camera near the light ... Never though about it, since the camera will protrude outwards and the light will sort of be "behind" the camera...

You should be able to see the back of a few of the clips too. I think I gave them some encouragement from behind before yanking too hard.
Mi took my camera out of its mount and flush mounted it through the plastic trim. Looks factory. But it's smack bang under the bloody light damn it. Useless at night unless I turn my headlights off.cant even have packers on. Was a fail. Spewing. Love the camera for general reversing though. My display is inbuilt into the rear view mirror.

Ok I did this a few weekends ago and some of the info I found on the net was a bit iffy..
So nuber plate has to come off..
The there are 3 studs coming threw the skin..
You need to undo the nuts on the inside if the door..
You also need to disconnect the locking rod to the outter handle.. the locking barrel can stay..
Then I used a small tyre lever with the end wrapped in duct tape to prevent scratches I started bottom right and started piping the clips. .
Did the bottom.
The up both sides.
The then on one end of the top worked across the top..

yeah i would have used plastic Trim Removal Tools which are cheap and bloody handy. I also remember having to dismantle the lock rods but could remember why. I did it maybe 3 years ago though.

The outer handle is in the trim..

Ok many thanks Daren and Westy!!! Thanks to you I finally figured it out ... What got me stuffed is, some of the googled results suggested the screws or something were accessed from the outside... Which is where I was looking.
The way you described it took me less than a minute to get the whole thing off...
Now that trim/timber board that goes back onto those stupid c*** of a f*****g nissan design orange tabs is giving me serious grief... Had to leave it, otherwise the impatience would have got the better of me and would have mangled the thing more than needed. :animierte-smilies-f

Small tyre lever and pop em out mate. Same as the outside.
8 in total. In each corner and then in the middle of each side..
You have to pop the 2 plastic trim plugs first that are visible, and the from one end pull the trim up..
The plastic trim overlaps the vynal so has to come off first..
inner door handle is clip in too.. and pulls out. Start on the lever side (right side looking at it) and the pivot end is clipped under the trim.
