Id say you need some boost if its the OE intercooler its probable leaking

I'll hook up boost gauge tonight and check that and look for leaks

Is your rear boost hose on tight they have a habit of blowing off {blue hose]
It will blow black smoke and be gutless
What year and motor Im guessing a ZD30

You can also check the IC by removing it and blocking off
the inlet and outlet and applying some air pressure
[bike pump} and dipping it in some water.
Be sure its dry before you re install [hair dryer]

Is it running a needle valve too? The dawes does pretty much nothing to performance, it just limits max boost. The needle valve lets you control how fast the turbo will spool up to max boost. If you have a needle valve, its might be leaking boost pressure, or the needle valve is open too much, which slows the spool up rate.

Would that cause it to lag or go into limb mode it's as if you are sitting on a 100 and after 5mins it will start to slow so u put foot down and nothing release and go and all good

Yes thats probably the problem your losing boost by the sound of things.
Replace all your vacuum hoses with some 4mm efi fuel line cheap enough to do

As you stated earlier you could hook up a dummy
boost gauge to confirm you're losing boost, pretty sure
thats what you'll find, One less job to do.

The Dawes is the one next to the zip ties centre of pic. The needle valve is the other one, next to the hex nut.
If you found some split hoses, fix them and re-assess.

Fitting a Full NADS kit including boost and EGT gauges
is a must IMO for the ZD30 especially the Di,
including an EGR block
