So it's not a Patrol but will be used for "off road" More so dirt circuit like at Loveday than dunes. Probably see a little bit of MUD
I bought it with the Baja flare kit on already. The dude was trying for a rat rod look (I think) and had only cut the front down. It had low profile 275's on the back and tiny 165x60 on the front.

First thing was to cut the arse end off
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2016/03/12.jpg
The generator was rooted I pulled it apart and tried to clean it up, but still wouldn't charge. Bought a brand newy, still not charging MOFO!
Went and bought a super crap auto pipe bender and made an engine cage. Gotta do the front bar next
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2016/03/13.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2016/03/14.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2016/03/15.jpg
Got some new rubber today that's given her a lift. Gotta work out how to wind the rear torsion bars up a bit. The Gregory manual is shit for the pics and not clear on how to do it. I might have to read it sober??
To go I need front bar, sort the generator out, new seat belts (maybe seats) a roll bar the Baja fiberglass engine cover (I've cut the steel one down for now if anyone can source one yell out please) Probably go some coil overs in the future. Also going to build a 1600 motor and turbo it over time, that won't happen anytime soon. I'm going to source parts as the come along no hurry. Oh yeah Toranas gone to a better home for a gen3 tubbed etc etc

Years ago a guy I was sharing a house with up Mildura way had a VW rear end gearbox[all one unit] and some how
bolted a 360 Yamaha dirt bike front end to it, real Mad Max stuff gear shift was up near your leaf ear. Pop the clutch
it would stand up and not go over you could change from 1st to 2nd and up it would come again ,,,,,that was trike and a half
We used to trailer it down to the salt flats south of Mildura.
growler2058

Yeah they do road trikes with these things, like Billy Connolly rode the country on

I think it is about 15km of dunes.
There are some massive dunes and not sure about a speed limit either. I was gunna renew my membership in the new fiscal year.
PS, not my dune buggy, though I wouldn't mind one.

There was no dune these things couldnt climb
