Hey all, bought a well loved GQ to explore my new home in QLD. Thought I'd drive it till it died and get a new one, but I can't kill it so I'm hooked.
It's been giving me some issues lately so I thought here might be a good place to get some real info.
Hoping not to get a bunch of dreamers with I think so answers, rather guys that have given it a go and worked it out.
I've been around cars my whole life but never one that gets me out to the beach like this one can.

Any thoughts on throwing in a 351 cleveland most welcome.

Always open to chat.

Cheers,

Nath

howdy mate, welcome to the forum

I did know of a GQ with the 5.8 out of a late model Fairlane (fuel injected etc)
met him in Geraldton when he was still sorting bugs on it

yes it can be done, as well as the 5.0L out of the BA's
but
there is not as much stuff available for the conversion as per the Chev's

Welcome mate, surely the best forum on the net.
If you need it, you can get it, if you want to know it, just ask it.
If you want to find it, go to the search bar for a universe of information.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the greatest show on earth.

You'll find the dizzy is the problem on a 351 its at the front of the motor, not ideal.
