Hi there everyone.

My car is a 2005, wagon, 4door, 4.5 gasoline engine, S, 9passenger, Manual transmission Nissan Patrol Y61. GU

The VIN is (JNbBY11Y25X508XXX)

I have a problem with the meter.

Everything is working fine in the dash
The clock is working.
The RPM is working.
The temperature analog is working.
The fuel analog is working.
The lights of the belts, hand brake and engine are working.

The problem is only in the ODO, trip A & B and in the meter (speed) analog.
They are not calculating (not counting)

I checked the fuse box in the cabin ( under steering) and it has no problem.

The sensor under the gearbox is working.

How to fix this??
Any idea??

Thanks anyway

use a gps that has speed and then you can sell the patrol later with original km's lol
take out the instrument pannel and check that it is getting the message from the sensor

How do you know the sensor in the gearbox is working?.

Have you checked the connector for corrosion?. Checked the harness thats runs down the gearbox for damage?

I checked the sensor in the gearbox, it's not damaged.
The wires to the sensor are good.
The fuse box is OK.

Is this a common problem in PATROLS?

take out the instrument pannel and check that it is getting the message from the sensor
