Apparently banned & the makers must refund the price of all units sold since 2013.

Sort of banned....
It was only for one type of device and the problem was the representations made in relation to performance.
No actual testing was carried out regards whether they work or not and by how much if at all.
The performance claims were, indeed, ludicrous and the sale of the majority of the product by the shysters was part of that EXTREMELY irritating crap when you buy a new car and they try and shove, paint protection, upholstery protection, rust protection, totally useless non-factory extended warranty etc etc down your throat at obscene prices

Just confirms what a lot of us already know about these things, i believe other parts of the world had already banned the sale of ERP devices some time ago , we are just catching up, hopefully other states follow suit soon, and we can put the "electronic snake oil" myth to bed once and for all :)

Yes... at the moment anyway.
If the numptys hadn't of claimed it reduced rust by 80% and doubled the life of the vehicle they probably would have stayed under the Radar.
The Gov johnnies are looking at some of the other brands and distributors but it took them since early 2013 to finally kick this mob in the nuts so don't hold your breath
