Hi Ladies and Gents which way do you find better
to run your fridges in the back of your wagon
with the motor/ compressor facing to the front
or facing the rear:biggrin:

Compressor to the front. Only because it opens from the other end..

Motor to the front of course..
So when your driving the air flow goes threw it.. 😆

To the back because the controls are on the compressor end

Either or with mine coz I can change which way the door opens, but seeing as the controls are on the compressor end, I usually have mine sittinf on the passenger side with the compressor at the rear of the car

Compressor on the bottom, lid on the top works best for me

My fridge doesn't have a motor or compressor, its old skool and requires ice from the servo. Doesn't matter which way I face it, still melts the same

Same as my unit. Very low power consumption though

Ice lasts 4 weeks in a cardboard box.

Mine is mounted behind the driver with the motor end just shy of the cargo barrier,
I have also hinged the lid sideways, just made more sense ,
Plenty of air flow . It is bolted to an Engel transit slide lock base, no need for straps
all you need do is change the feet, one of the better things Ive brought
You could bend up some 25 x 25 mm wire cage material so you cant block the motor end
If its staying in the back bolt it to a fridge slide and cage it in so you can pack ontop as well.
You may need to stand on a milk crate to access though, thats why I mounted mine floor
level behind the driver, do you need the rear seats in, only 4 bolts to remove as you know

Hey Roofy, if I remember correctly last decade [emoji3] when we met you were running an 80L F/F Waeco same as I was installing in the Mrs GU wagon? I ended up facing the vents to the rear door which has worked well for us. Pony club with the whippersnappers on 30+ Sundays we slide it half way out and throw a big towel over the barn doors, heaps of airflow to the motor/vents [emoji106]
