Hey Guy’s,
I am new to this forum and have a couple of questions, I have a 99 model 2.8ltr. Up until a couple of weeks ago I have had very little problems with it (owned it over 5 yrs now).

Early this year while I was driving home from camping, it has gone in to limp mode. I have manually checked the codes and cleared them, the codes were showing 1-3 (COOLANT TEMP SEN) and 2-8 (OVER HEAT). The gauge in the dash was reading as per normal and there was no loss of fluids.

I have since replaced the coolant temp sensor that feeds the ECU, but it has happened again.

Has anyone ever had any similar issues to mine, or any advice on where I should be looking next.

Cheers Shane

Hi Shane can you pop over to the intros first before asking questions please.
No harm done but just something the forum asks of us all.
You'll find you'll get a better response to your question as well.
Im sure some of the 2.8ltr guys can sort you out
