Well not quite, I did own a 120Y what feels likes a hundred years ago - it was a great $500 investment that got me around for over a year :)

I have recently purchased an ex-govt 08, GU wagon about as standard as they come (its got a bar and mats) as I needed something to lug 4 kids around and get away with. We get about but the lure of those places that we just couldnt get the old car to led me to the new (to me) Patrol - and as the tribe is getting older, we needed room.

I wish I could say I know what I am doing but I am learning - my mates are all riding me for not buying Toyota but in its maiden voyage I got to all the same places, even dragging the old family trailer behind. I look forward to getting out, getting wiser and getting up my mates for making the right decision.

Cheers
Mike

Thanx guys - there should be plenty of us from Perth, now I am driving the GU, it seems like every second car on the road is one! Still, I must be the only one with "Canyonero" on the side.

I will certainly upload a photo but as the only one I have is it parked on a Subiaco side street (I was there with work), I want to get a photo like Tims and at least look the part :).
