Hi,

I'm a new member. We spend much of our down time in the National Parks of the Eyre Peninsula and frequently tour outback SA.

I own a 2012 GU (Simpson 50th anniversary edition):
standard other than-

- ARB bull bar, roof rack, awning, fridge slide
- 35mm lift (aurora springs, Bilstein shocks)
- Dobinsons HD steering damper
- DRIFTA drawers
- dual deep cycle batteries (+starter)

Have plans for other stuff as finances allow!

Cheers Richard

Hi,
Aurora springs (automotive arm of Universal Springs Adelaide) do a variety of different lifts and rate of spring. The ones I went for were meant to be a 25mm lift (according to the catalogue). On speaking to a couple of the guys who work in the manufacturing of the springs and who helped me with my spring selection, both who have Patrols, I was advised the lift will be about 40mm above standard. In reality it is about 35mm (35mm is lightly loaded, drawers, 2 deep cycle batteries + starter, 50 litre water and full fuel). I suspect that when fully loaded that it may drop a little more.

Just for interest the spring codes are:
Front - NIS6219H
Rear - NIS6221RH

Cheers Richard
