I need to replace the front wheel bearings, the brake rotors are near minimum thickness so I figure I will do them at the same time. I don't have any problems with the swivel hubs but if I have it apart should I do the whole swivel hub rebuild kit? How much extra work is it?

Yep. Buy a bearing and seal kit and do everything.

You are most of the way doing the brakes and wheel bearings, may as well do the rest. Plus then you dont have to do it again for longer

Mate it is a messy job but in no way hard.. to do the discs is easy once in there and having a seal/bearing driver kit helps heaps.
The job can easily be done in a day with the first side taking 3 quarters of the rime and once you know the other side is reasonably quick.. my tip is to clean as you pull it apart and lay out the parts in order.. much better doing it this way.
