Hi all,

I am looking at getting rid of the lpg from the troll and going straight petty. Since it says on my rego paper that its a dual fuel, i assume i need to get a certificate of some sort to get that changed.

Can I pull out all the lpg stuff, ie do all the work, and take it to a shop to have it decommissioned or will i have to pay a shop to do the work then sign off on it?

No overly fond of the idea of shelling out a few grand to get it all removed (cant imagine it being cheap on labour)

Anyone done this before?

Thanks in advance

I fitted a system to an old xc v8 years ago and took it in to a gas intsaller to plumb it up and tag it.
I did speak to him first tho.
Do the ring around, you might find someone that will be happy just to check over it once your done the hard bit.

it only takes me 2hrs max to remove a gas system. shouldn't be that expensive to get removed.. you will have problems getting rid of the tank.... scrap metal don't want em (where i live anyway)

cut tank in half and use it as a barby or fire pit some ideas in this site

It's injected gas so it's a little more complex. Might do the ring around.

Dont remove near any hot water service [pilot light]
With the tank removed you could strip it out back
to the motor then let the Pro's take over

I'd say it would be the same as installing it, rip it out yourself and just get an LPG mob to certify that its been removed, but as suggested ring around and see what they have to say
