Anyone know where the headlight buzzer is located on a 2012 patrol? I need to disconnect it.
I'm trying to install auto headlights which turn on when I unlock the car, but each time I open the door the buzzer goes nuts since the lights are already on, until I close the door or put the keys in.

That is where you can unplug the key warning buzzer, not sure if it is the same buzzer.

If you do pull off the moulding be careful not to damage the ring around the key hole that picks up the key transponder as it is easy to damage and expensive to fix.

Yep I've already disconnected the key warning buzzer.. it's not that one. I can hear it from behind the dash cluster, but can't see exactly where without pulling the whole dash away.
Haynes manual says it's wire 34 Blue/Black, but can't seem to locate it.. I'll have another look and persist.

I managed to snap a little bit off the key ring plastic holding the copper wire and twisted it a little but still intact :) I'm now very careful when removing and reinstalling the column cover. Can't seem to find the ring cover that goes over the copper wire though.. oh well.

Yes I do, I've pulled that apart previously and didn't notice any speakers or buzzers.. I'll take another look though. Thanks

It's in the instrument cluster.

3D, that's for vehicles fitted with climate control.

I did assume that was the point of the vent but now it houses the audio mic for the new head unit...
I'm surprised it's actually very clear even behind the dash..

Was afraid that's where it might be.. Hopefully I can locate the wire rather than pulling it all apart.. Thanks
