Hey,
just wondering if anyone has an idea why my piranha management system doesn't seem to work. With the car running I get 13V incoming to the system but only get the auxiliary batteries voltage on the outgoing. Neither of the 2 LEDs are lighting up either. Do I need a new one or could there be s fuse blown inside it or something? All help appreciated.
Cheers.

Where have you got it earthed?
Mine used to play up a bit with earth just on the engine bay panels but I've now got it on the aux battery with no issues.

If your only getting 13v incoming that would be your problem. Depending on the model but the DBE180s (what i have) wont open to charge the aux until system voltage exceeds 13.4v.
Apparently there is a lower voltage opening model for older vehicles @12.5 if you required that? Is it a new isolator? What car is it in?
The cutoff low voltage once open is 11.5v

cheers for responses.
just tested the incoming again. 13.2V
its 2010 ST Patrol, I think its earthed to the battery tray can see in the pic. (sorry, i dont know too much about this stuff)
i bought the car with the duel system already installed, so not sure how old it is.
Just the fact the lights dont come on, on the piranha system i thought that it may have an issue.

No, the black wire that comes out from the bottom of the system is the earth and it looks like it's just mounted to the screw of the piranha system. That's not the best.
You could do a quick test by removing that black wire and connect it to the negative terminal of your battery.

Just made better earth and the voltages seem to be good now. So that may have been the issue.
Cheers AB!

True mate. As i said model dependant i was going off what mine is.
Yeah that earth to the screw isn't ideal, would work as such just not ideal and as found out might introduce some voltage drop to the isolator.
