If you want to protect the paint on your sills this might be just what you need.
Especially as a few of you have just brought newish Patrols.
Just spray some soapy water and away you go.
I have Mylar on my side steps and on the uprights of the bullbar
saves chipping the finish and you can hardly see it.
Coud even use it under the door handles

Good find depending upon how thick it is. I used similar (but very expensive) stuff from 3M on the fork legs of dirt bikes. It worked really well. It was 2mm or so thick & was tough enough for stones to bounce off without tearing. I reckon you try some TD & give us a review.

How good is it for paint that has been chipped? would you have to prep and paint the surface, or just Prepsol it and stick the plastic on?

Id probably just give it a good wash and maybe polish the area.
spray some soapy water get the credit card out and work all the bubbles out.
Some mask off the area and spray paint some rubberised textured paint
similar to euro cars,
Some how Im going to fit another small mudflap under the side step ,maybe
stop some extra stones deflecting on the paint if angled right

I have used that rubberised stuff. It certainly is thick and tough.
