Drivers door has been playing up for a while . Problem originally started as the door not opening from the outside. I lubed the mechanism in the door jamb up and fixed the issue. Only to find out the door now opens at all times. After discovering I used the total wrong form of lubrication I decreased it all and it seemed to help. Even when the lock is in the lock position he door opens. All other doors lock and unlock with the key and interior lock button (key remote has been dead since I got the car ). Is it an electrical issue , lock issue or have I just rooted the door handle mechanism fom using the wrong grease/lubricant?

Disconnect the servo motor from the lock and see if the motor still moves when you lock the car. If the motor moves, its the lock, if it doesn't, it the motor, or somewhere in the lectrics...

Looks like a mechanical issue to me if the door opened light in the dash is lighting up. As this only connected to the switch in the body not the door. The door seems to not lock in fully pressing the door switch enough

Have you had the door skin off?
It could be ad simple as a dislodged rod.

You possibly have a couple of problems.
It's common for the door lock mechanism to wear and cause an issue with opening the door from either inside or outside or locking.
The door light flashing is more the likely caused by one of the rear barn door switches.

Yeah I assume so, although lately it's not doing it anymore so I really don't know .

It's most definitely the drivers door as I've tested pushing and nudging it when it's shut and it triggers the lights . My mechanics gonna tackle it just a lot of places still on holidays to get parts from
