Just wondering if the crd has a fuel cut off like the old td.
I had installed a switch on the td so if someone got into it it would crank but not fire..
Can this be done with the crd or am I risking a pump or something if it's cranked over with no fuel??

Pretty hard to steal a GU you need the NATS on the key to start it

I wouldn't be too comfortable with that statement John lol.

Westy.
Somebody a while back asked the same question, and somebody responded.... It may or may have been Yendor, this was after I bought my CRD way back in 2013. I had a quick search for the thread but failed to find it.
Supposedly, There is a wire "somewhere" related to the Inj. pump you can tap into to achieve this. I could not remember if the person who asked the initial question, ended up achieving this or not.... As i said it's been a while.

I dunno... getting past NATS (without a key or illegally cloned key) on a GUVI isn't exactly quick and easy.
Look at what is involved in getting past the pump module if the NATS shits itself.

I wouldn't bother with a 'super secret hidden switch' myself

Well that's good to know that the NATS is a good system..
Is there a risk of pump damage from cracking it with no fuel in it??

Well said Evil.
I'm really looking forward to taking a chisel to my pump when it decided to go...
Remembering Mudrunners thread a little while back.

NATS - yeah, till it shits itself which is reasonably rare thankfully

IP - Happens all the time after a filter change if you don't prime the prick of a thing properly... (hard to distinguish sarcasm and reality sometimes)

I read a few posts you guys have put up re the priming and how to crimp the lines either side of the filter to aid it..

NATS in a ZD30 is very hard to bypass. Not the thing most thieves could do.

Yeah i use line clamps. Theres less mess. also sometimes its easier to remove the entire filter and bracket to remove the filter. They can be a pain to get off.
When its back on, fit the fuel line from the tank and put a small cup under the outlet and pump until fuel comes out. Then put the line on back to the pump. Pump until the plunger goes hard. Then start the car. Or just have the outlet hose lose and pump until fuel runs out...
You can just put both lines on and just pump into the emtpy filter but the air in the filter needs to escape. And you reduce the rick of air in the system.
