So I'm under the car and notice some dampness around the front diff brake T block.. but upon further looking I've noticed this hose behind the ac compressor which goes no were and had a small oil drip from it

And I can't see a bloody thing.
This is the best pic I could get from the top..

Should I be worried?

Yeah its a paper filter element within the metal case - 1/2 drove socket will
Unscrew it when the time comes
It would be worth while checking that the oil tray and tube are clean / working before you unscrew the filter -- I assumed it was OK and ended up with oil all over the driveway

Augh yea.. well the dealership did the service so I've just seen the oil and though wtf..
Has anyone put a tap on it?? I guess then you risk it blocking and a bigger mess when you change the filter??

There will be a plate about 150 x 150mm under the oil filter to catch any spilt oil,
from the drip tray it goes down that rubber hose and usually drips over front diff
You dont want a tap on it just more care removing the filter housing, Maybe a handfull
of rags might be better
