I am looking for a G60 as a project car.
I am after a soft top and it needs to be original so I can get historic reg.
If anybody knows of one for sale please let me know as there is not many advertised and those that are have either been modified or in very bad condition.

I saw the one you have advertised but as you said, it is a hard top. I assume you are joking about the others.

Umm, sadly no joke. Steve has about 14 of them. I'll PM you his number to see if he has what you want.

I am hoping to get something that does not need a lot of work, just minor things to repair. More interested in driving it than working on it. All depends on what is available. A couple of mates have series 2 Land Rovers and I just did a drive and overnight stay as a passanger in one of them and it has me hooked.

Yeah, grass roots wheeling has a certain appeal. Some of the old vehicles would run on the smell of an oily rag, go anywhere and could be fixed with a bit of wire and a pair of pliers.

Not G60s. The P40 motor is thirstier than my 351 V8.

Yea I don't think I have ever spoken to anybody with an old 4wd saying it is economical.
Would only do the occasional drive into the Adelaide Hills or into the forests so economy would not be a concern.

Okay, I stand corrected, but I would still love a really early fourby to chug around in.

These are my mates old Land Rovers, You can tell they are old as the camera would only take black and white pictures of them.
