Hey guys. We'll the time has come.
We are looking to upgrade. And need a small favor from a forum member in the location.
So we don't waste 1300k I'm asking if one of our lovely members would mind dropping in and having a squiz for us..
It's an 07 with the right amount of k's on it and the right price.
Can anyone have a look for me?
If so throw me a pm and I'll send the details..

Hey kallen, send katwoman a message, they live in Rosedale. Then when you buy whatever it is then you will be up for a weekend in the high country!

Looks like a great car! The lack of RWC does suggest a good look over it by someone experienced is a sensible move though. Fingers crossed for you.

Yep yep, perfect people to look at a car for you kallen. Racv check is not worth the money.
Hopefully Steve doesn't buy it first...LOL
Too new for Steve! He doesn't like anything newer than 1985!

Doesn’t look like you’ll need that ........ thank goodness. Had an RACV check done on mine pre-purchase, paid for by the place I bought it from, but it wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. Told me nothing of value, although stated the gearbox probably had a major problem. I paid a transmission specialist/4wd workshop to do a second inspection. They told me the box was fine (it was the usual TD42 low rev transmission growl) & found a few other minor issues, including a leaking sub tank, which the seller rectified at a cost of around $2k. (Best $200 I’ve ever invested in a car).
I would never have confidence in an RACV pre-purchase check again, at least not for a 4wd. There are better options ....... & of course if you can get an experienced Patrol tinkerer/enthusiast to check for you - it doesn’t come any better than that.

Unless things have changed recently, a Vic RWC and reg is no good to you anyway. You'll have to rereg it in SA. So there's a saving of $500 if u get it without reg ? Send me a txt with what u want to do.

Nice one Kallen. Yeah have to agree with others about RACV check. Got one years ago on a 40s picked up heaps of obvious stuff you could see yourself and not things like knackered swivel hubs. Waste of money with my experience anyway, guess a lot of them don't really know fourbies, bit of a gamble maybe with who you get.
Anyway best of luck with the new truck, prefect having Kat & Steve to look @ it. . . Poor old GQ. . . .☺

Just make sure it doesnt have the dreaded coolant leak like Hodge had.
IMO the IC will be leaking and need replacing straight off the bat.
Is it a private sale or yard???

I go away for tea and look what happens lol..
Ok unfortunately us it's time to move up a rung..
The old q is just costing to much to keep going. And me and niss have both agreed we'd rather have a new car then poring money into the old q..
It'll be a hard day when she goes.
It's been in the family from day 1.. had my whole childhood in it.
So no. The td42 won't be going in it. We have found a 08 gu st crd manual..
Tbh haven't even seen it yet.
It's an ex cfa office car..
61300k on the clock..
It's white. But we decided we can be boring as it is a good buy..
We will be either owners Thursday or not after we sus out minor details.
Then after all has settled then the q will be sold and possibly the falcon aswell
