Inspired my 2TROLLFAM

I've been wanting to get a tattoo every since I was in my late teens. It wasn't till I was 36 year old father I've got my first one.

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/12/159.jpg

It's called Trinacria. AKA The Sicilian Symbol.(my parents are both form this part of the world)
The 3 legs represent the 3 tips of the Island and the tamed Medusa face is from greek mythology.

What do you think?

I want something that is me, that's where the southern Cross comes in. I was originally against the stars, but I'm happy with the way it came up.

Then on the other arm will be some images that represent my kids. Would really love to do portraits, but they must be perfect or they look like sh!t.

On the back will be a war zone with soldiers protecting a yellow cancer ribbon and this

63446

Just the hand upside down.
It's something like an evil eye.

I thing that I've never really liked is names and dates, but that's just me.

So.....
What have you got or want.

I dont have any pics and it may sound stereotypical but i have Family across my chest and underneath that i have "we may not have it altogether but together we have it all". I love my family and the tattoo is more to me than a "tough sticker".

The beauty of tatts is that you have what YOU like.

First tat I had when I was 18, 26 years ago now. Means nothing, something a mate drew which I liked

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/12/163.jpg

2nd tat 2 years later, always meant to have an eye drawn in the middle and jazz it up but never got round to it.

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/12/164.jpg

The first two tats were a just coz, not to look hard or cool but just coz.

Got this one on me left forearm just after my first child was born, pissed me off coz they stuffed up the T

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/12/165.jpg

This one on me right forearm after child #2.
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/12/166.jpg

Still yet to get one for the 3rd child..... been thinking more about what I want done.

So now I'm toying with the idea of covering up my first borns name and second tat (crappy sun thing) with a partial sleeve made up of my kids Chinese or Celtic (or both) zodiac signs. Then having all 3 of their DOBs and names all on my right arm

I was thinking of the Chinese new year animals. My kids are a monkey and a snake. My niece is a graphic designer and I'm wanting to get her to draw something up with the two animals in a playful matter.

I've just remembered, the 3 legs are also the national symbol for the Isle of Man, obviously used at a later date than the Isle of Sicily.

You have a tattoo of your anus on your arm?

I have the chinese zodiac for the Tiger on my left ankle. Its pretty faded now as it was done maybe 20 years ago. Lol And I have both my daughters on the inside of each bicep. I wanna get more, I wouldn't mind a half or maybe a full sleeve job. This missus is saying no though. I gotta listen to the boss. Buuut! I might just come home one day with it started...
That'll make her happy.

I'm getting my first one either tomorrow or Tuesday, unless I chicken out. lol.

My wife basically told me I didn't have the guts to do it, because it won't be done under a local. PML

Don't bother asking what or where it is, because it's personal. lol.

From what I've seen, they can be quite addictive - just like owning a Patrol. lol

On holidays and too much time on my hand to think. lol

Nah, seriously.....I've always wanted one, but it's never been for the right reason. I did lots of reading about the 'Southern Cross', and noticed that many people had many reasons/interpretations of what it stands for. I chose the one I believe in.

All I need is one for the other side of my chest to somehow flow in with the 3rd degree hot water burn skin graft I got when I was 18 months old. I got skin grafts to about 30% of the front of my body - from the chest down. Thankfully most of it isn't really noticeable, unless you're looking for it.

That my friend, is the best I can come up with. lol.

Take care out there.

Very true.
I didn't really like the idea of the southern cross, but being born here I wanted something Australian. At the end I'm happy with how it turned out.

Do some googling on scars and tattoos, at least for some ideas.

Got the ink in the following order – on the same day for each numbered item.
1. Southern Cross
2. Cougar and one grass tree
3. 1 grass tree
4. Eagle and one grass tree – that you can’t see, but is there on the right side of my MOOB.

My wife's gone from not liking tattoos to having the opinion of......"I love the ones on your shoulders, but not the cougar, to .....

The kangaroo and emu would look better with a bit of colour." What a victory - for both of us. PML.

https://www.facebook.com/Cabs-did-it-1536108470033058/

Had a chat to my artist, and I'm booked in next week. lol

Gunna put a bit of green colouring in the leaves and a bit of red colouring in the Kangaroo, and maybe touch up the grass trees with a bit of green colouring.

I'm also going to get a bob tail, just above the Cougar. Not really looking forward to it, but I'm looking at the end result.

A fair bit of the bob tail will be across my collar bone. Guess I'm going to have to 'man up' with a box of tissues and a sock for my mouth. PML. Nuff said. lol.

I was at the checkout in Bunnings yesterday and the bloke next to me told me he liked my Kookaburra/bottlebrush tatt. Said it was "something different."

I'm too old for snakes and skulls. lol.

Gotta laugh. I've been told for a long, long time, that I need to lighten up, so I did.... Get a few tatts, and suddenly, I'm losing the plot and having a melt down. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Well folks,

What a journey 2016 has been. My life started with a simple ‘Southern Cross.’

Then I wanted something to cover up my burn scar from when I was 18 month old, so I got a Cougar and a couple of grass trees.

Then the Southern Cross looked ‘lonely’, so I got the Wedge Tail Eagle, then another 2 grass trees near the Cougar.

Then I got the kangaroo and emu on my left arm and the Kookaburra and bottlebrush on the right arm.

The wife originally didn’t like tattoos, but then liked the emu and roo, but it needed some colour in the leaves and on the roo – so I made it happen.
http://i1312.photobucket.com/albums/t525/dxgrunt431/IMG_1617_zpsabzir2oq.jpg (http://s1312.photobucket.com/user/dxgrunt431/media/IMG_1617_zpsabzir2oq.jpg.html)

Yesterday, ‘Fred,’ the bobtail, appeared on my right shoulder, because it looked bare without him as the left shoulder had the eagle wing span covering it.
http://i1312.photobucket.com/albums/t525/dxgrunt431/IMG_1616_zpscs00dejx.jpg (http://s1312.photobucket.com/user/dxgrunt431/media/IMG_1616_zpscs00dejx.jpg.html)

We decided to put a bit of green colouring around the bobtail and around the Kookaburra, too.

While I was in the chair, I thought I might as well continue the pain, and got a crocodile over my hidden abs.

Underneath it, was gunna put the Indian Pacific train.

If you had a blank canvas, on your back, with the outline of a map of OZ, what would you do as a tatt - from shoulders to top or bottom of cheeks? PML

Red fire ant – is the same all the way round. Just my pic taking, makes the back end blurry . lol.

The front is nearly finished. I’m gunna squeeze in a XXXXXXX next to the red fire ant. Lol

The missus isn’t keen on my tatts, so I’m gunna have to ask real nice for a full frontal pic……
of the tatts. PML

I’m not good at taking long distance selfies, but here’s a partial look. lol

Are you looking for some inspiration?,

Not really. It's nearly all mapped out. lol

I've got my back planned for the Australiana theme, but just need the wife to rub in the 'healing ointment', 3 times a day for 2 weeks.
That, is my difficulty at the moment. lol

I don't want my tatts to 'peek outside' my T shirt line, or below my shorts line.

I'm currently either 'nearly' a third or 'nearly' half way finished - depends how 'inspirational' I get. lol.

Had it redone twice in two years. Still not happy with it, but the top of the foot hurts like a bastard.

Pinched it from a northern suburbs page. Shakey Bill. I've never seen him, little before my time, but have heard of him.

Never seen him with his shirt off and it was a long time ago.
His shop was down the end of Sydney rd where the shops stopped
There was also the Farrow Bros tattooists from Perth

I've got the tattoo bug, again. lol.

Today's effort.

Got a Hammerhead Shark, mirrored on each calf.

I forgot how much it hurts. With both calves shaved, I'll get an extra 5kmh outa my legs.

I feel a lycra moment happening soon. lol.

Doesn't really matter why or what people think of it, as long as it has meaning to you mate.

Remember, pictures not words, pictures not words. lol. Still gotta sort out my pics.

Got a Praying Mantis on each gun, and 3 fish, about 6 weeks ago, and today I got a vertical centipede on each arm next to the Praying Mantis to indicate that's how far I'm going. lol.

Also got a frilled neck lizard.

Next sesh is my full back. lol. The 'bug' is back lol.
