I have a heap of 12 volt jobs to do over the break, using mainly carling style switches.
I've noticed those three along the hand brake are too small ,so does any
one have a part number for on/off switches that fit ??
Would love to see where you have put your switches, and reason for the position.
Pics would be great I love pics.
On the centre console Ill be fittng 3, front diff lock closest to me then the LED light bar,
still within reach and then on/off for a compressor, thats for air horn and the locker.
Anything from fridge to reverse camera to UHF then I can shuffle what should go where.
Ive shifted the UHF hand piece over to the left hand side to make room for some extra switches.
Maybe a double carling mounting block will fit, Plus opposite the Hazzard button maybe another toggle/missile cover switch.
Centre pic has both my volt meters

Do you mean on the left side handbrake slot?!you could Remove that panel and replace it with a blank piece of plastic and cut slots to suit. I have 3 carling switches there in the GQ

There was none from the factory.
I have put in switches for my fridge, rear power outlet on the outside of the car, and a rear worklight

I've been meaning to ask for a while, why do some of you guys run on/off fridge switches ? Is it cause you leave the fridge in the patrol all the time and only want to powered at certain times? Or is there another benefit in overlooking.... Sorry for the hijack!

Yeah I three carling switches in the LHF of the console there. The OEM cutouts are too close togther so I just made up a plastic strip which would fit, cut the OEM housing more and placed the new plastic strip over the top of the old, which holds the new in place...

That piece just unscrews from the underside 3D. take out the console and you will see how easy it is. I used the old one as a template to cut a new piece of black perspex then cut the holes out with a screw saw.

These are the only two pics I have. Using the OEM switch holes the rockers were touching each other. The switch itself wasn't. So I got the dremel out and slotted the OEM bracket so the switches were further apart, then got a piece of perspex and made a new cover and made slots on this and this is just held in using the OEM bracket.

Ok moved a few switches around, I moved the LED light bar switch from the front centre facia plate left
of the head unit to the lower right centre console. I replaced it with a reverse camera switch which will
be wired hot as in direct to the camera, More an instant effect.
Used a coat hanger to get the wires under the centre console.
Just waiting on some more single switch holders to arrive to finish them off [switches]
When the Laser cutter starts up in the new year Ill get some perspex plates cut
to suit 3 x carling style switches. It will screw over the top of whats there to
make it easier and just dremel out to suit.

Just finished drawing up the perspex insert for the hand brake panel.
It will house 3 carling style switches and a toggle with missile cover.
Getting it cut from 2 mm black perspex and it will fit either by 2 x screws
or if you want ,,glue it..Pull the knock outs ,out first

For the GQ guys can you tell me if your switch slots near the hand brake are about 225mm x 30mm

Moving a few more things around the round main battery volt gauge
will now be moved to the other side and under the AUX battery volt gauge.
In its place Ill fit a dual carling switch mounting block and in that wire up
a winch power switch and possibly winch in/out

Looking forward to having this all wired early next year, sons an Auto
