Bit of a warm spell , dont forget to check your elderly neighbours if you have any.
Make sure your pets have plenty of water too, First big 40 tomorrow as well
Drink a glass of water between you beers as well, stay hydrated eh lol

Good tip John on all counts. We are driving tomorrow to Daylesford to meet our potential new rescue dog, a jack Russell named Bindi. Keep cool guys and bring your pets inside to the AC!

It was so Hot today that the Pardalote Parents called their Chick out of the Nesting Box.
We have placed it in a Flower Pot and the Parents are feeding it there.
Have been spraying with a fine mist to cool the birds down.

Yeah it was bloody hot today... 41 at home but only 25% humidity.
When I was living in Darwin it was 40 every day and over 95% humidity.

No thanks mate! lol Personally give me freezing cold anyway...

Was just outside watering some of whats left of our plants and the warm northerly is unbelievable, at 6am. Thats when you know it'll get serious.

Was just outside watering some of whats left of our plants and the warm northerly is unbelievable, at 6am. Thats when you know it'll get serious.
Jusg a out to get out there and mow the lawns and clean the bbq. Beer time after that...

Yeah we have been on hot weather status for a few days now so our station is being manned at all times. No fires here yet though!

We had the AC on for a couple of hours in the bedroom last night, might be on all night tonight!

Yeah ours got turned off pretty late into the night as well, but I think it will be going all night tonight!

Will prob have a camp out sleep with the kids in the lounge tonight under the split system as well, all the bedrooms are at the other end of the house and we struggle to keep the kids room cool when it gets this hot

Dont think Darwin ever gets to 40, normally 32 and afternoon storms in the wet
but you're right about the humidity its soul destroying lol
No wonder they call it suicide/silly season,

Just hit 41 in mount G.. where I'm working is a few degrees hotter but really once over high 30's it's just farking hot..
Steel in the sun is currently melting work boot soles..

burning off what the F are they thinking, I wouldnt even weld in this weather

All good. Big bump on of head. Bruised risked.
Sprained ankle and hair line fracture.

She doesn't know how it happen.
Just that one foot went this way and the other foot went that way.

Power outage in my area due to weather... Power not expected to be turned on till 10:30pm, very glad that the cool change has already come through and I had a fridge in the patrol to transfer all the food too!!

Yeh the power went out after 3pm and they were originally saying it would be fixed at 10:30pm... Then pushed out to 11:30pm, but ended up getting turned on much earlier!
