Merry Christmas to all
Had a search, couldn't find an answer to my question.
Can anyone recommend a good service centre in Darwin (prefer to avoid the dealer).
Will be there next July, briefly, and will need a 5,000k service after going via Broken Hill, Birdsville through the Gulf and Arnhem Land. I would prefer someone who knows Patrols and can do the service as well as check/repair any issues that might arise from 5-6,000ks of "hard" travel towing a 1.5 tons of camper.

Yep, should be a beaut.
A Club trip of 4 months all up, with some leaving the trip at Darwin to head home on the tar. The rest of us will return via Litchfield NP, Gregory NP, Yulara, Oodnadatta and the Flinders (with lots of side trips along the way).
I pick up my new Vista RV Crossover XL (http://vistarv.com.au/video/index.php) in early February so should be an excellent shake down trip!!
Easy for me to get away, I'm retired but the Mrs is still working, so she'll have to fly home from Darwin, only 10 weeks away for her!

That Vista is a very very nice looking setup, should keep your dry and warm.
Not a big fan of campers but you may have swayed me a little with this one. lol

Age and the Mrs moved me from swags, to tent and onto the 2005 Kimberley Kamper (which is now sold). Spent 2 months early this year in the KK traveling southern SA and WA, got a bit sick of the canvas in the wind and rain and having to unpack and pack up on most days. Thus the Vista, no canvas to flap in the breeze and literally 10 seconds to set up, undo 2 over centre latches and "pop" the top and all is ready for an over nighter. The Vista will go anywhere I can go, they are as tuff as, so looking forward to many happy days away from civilization :)

Hi Tim
I had my patrol serviced at the dealer in Darwin 2 years ago. They had a very competent mechanic there, who went over my car and picked up all the Melbourne mechanics misses.
The service was done and a detailed report received. It was the only time I was happy walking out of a dealers.
