4.8lt Auto better for 4.2lt conversion

So question is, I'm looking at getting a 2006 Patrol to do a 4.2lt conversion to.
Currently own a 2004 ZD and want to upgrade in yr and power.
Has to be auto and remember people saying the 4.8 auto box is more suitable for the 4.2 conversion. Is this correct?
Here in Perth have seen some cheaper 4.8's going for sale.
If I can find one cheap enough I may even opt for the 1HT-FTE 4.2 over the TD42T but depends on whats available..

I did a lot of research before doing my conversion and never read anything about a 4.2 with 4.8 auto.
Do you know of anyone who has a 5 speed auto 4.2?
I have read about 4.8 owners swapping out their 5 speed auto for the 4 speed because it handles the power better.
