Light oil spray around EGR valve?

Hey all.

Was in the engine bay the other day and noticed what looks like a light spraying of oil around the EGR valve area. It's not wet and it didn't wash off with degreaser, so I don't know how long it's been there.
Is this something to worry about? What can I do to prevent it? I've blanked the EGR, too - you can kind of see the plate in the pics.

Why is there two blanking plates in there?

For ages I thought there was already a blanking plate in but eventually I pulled it apart and it wasn't one. At the time it wouldn't come off, so I assumed it was part of the assembly and put on an actual blanking plate (the one with the downward tab).

Jeez you'd swear theres two in there going by the first pic. As for the issue. Is the oil comihg from where the plate is? The facing might be warped if it is.
