When you wire up the winch motor does anyone do any waterproofing to the wires connected to the winch motor?

Mine has the standard little angled plastic caps but they are not that waterproof.

Plenty leave them fully exposed. They are a solid connection so the water is not likely to compromise the connection I don't think. I use rubber boots. I have also used liquid sealer which was good but messy.

I just used copper grease on mine. The caps tend to hold moisture in.

Same here a wipe of never - seize and then just some terminal covers.

I have spent some time fixing the control box for the new winch.
So today started to undo the old winch cables. The 3 main cables in their coloured caps were relatively clean. Also seems they had a wipe over of some stuff called "Nothing". Easy to undo.

Control box in tomorrow and main +ve isolator. Then after a regrease, normally called "putting grease in that was not there in the first case", winch in tomorrow or next day.

Seems I need to get a can of 'Nothing' for the connectors also.
