4.2 wont idle and stalls

Any one here had the problem of engine wont idle and the stalls on a 4.2 carb 1990 model

Hi mate and welcome , could you pop over to the intros first just something the forum asks of us all
no harm done just polite and all.

This is one of the most common issues for the GQ tb42 and RB30 carby motor - engine wont idle and the stalls. - Do a search of the Gq area of this forum as it has been covered many times

Causes are:-

Vacuum leak
Carby needs a rebuild - especially if you are running LPG
loose bottom part of the carby
