G'day,
recently bought my patrol cab chassis and while underneath changing out my diff oils I noticed what looks like a leak. Any comments on what this may be and remedy?
Many thanks in advance, Kelly.

Crd 3.0 Im guessing. Give the area a really good clean using brake clean or something similar. Then keep an eye on it to pin point exactly where its coming from

Looks like bit of an engine oil leak?
Spray a bit of general purpose degreaser at the leaking spot, leave it for five minutes and hose it off.
You'll be able to see the leaking spot better after that.

Its not the spill tube under the oil filter

Thanks. I'll hit the area with some brake clean and try to pin point.

Looks more like a small seep rather than a big leak.
If it isnt dripping on the ground, clean it up and keep an eye on it to see how long it takes to return

G'day Kells,
bit late but.
If the leak is that whitish looking patch, I don't reckon it's engine oil.
Not too many other fluids in that area apart from oil or coolant. White is possibly calcium deposit from 'hard' tap water without antifreeze added.
As suggested, try and clean it all away then check for the source.
Luck,
Col

That looks like the vacuum pump that the oil is sitting around. Beet to give it a clean and try and see where its coming from. Theres an oring that seals the vacuum pump. Could just be this.???
