Rear aircon

Hi guys,
I'm new here as of today and keen to learn more about patrol as my partner and I looking to buy one.
So question is what year did the rear aircons come into the gu patrol, I live in Cairns so I want my kids to have air con too.

When I bought mine the dealer also had a 2011 which had the rear A/C too. It is only in the ST, not the DX I believe.

If I'm not mistaken, all Ti models from 1998 had rear air cond.
I don't know if it was only with the 4.5 petrol engines at the time.

My 2009 ST and 2005 St didn't have air con. I thought it was the ST-S and Ti models only .

For reference: My 2012 ST has rear ac

unless specified by the original buyer in the ST, ST-S & ST-L
they were standard in the TI models

Air con in all rows? Is that including the third row?

Yep , the controls for the second and third rows are on the back of the center console, and a master switch in the dash , standard equipment on the series 3 , 4.2tdi ST-L, along with leather seats in all rows , middle row arm rests with cup holders , fronts are electric as well .

Not sure of the exact dates, but ST's never had Dual Front & Rear AC Controls until they discontinued the ST-L and Ti models. Not sure about ST-S.....

I have owned two Di's in ST trim, and both including the 2003 model only had front AC Controls.

My 2007 ST-L had the Dual AC with Rear Controls, and my current truck in Ti trim has them too

Cheers guys, I have looked at various badge models including those mentioned here and it appears to be different between each badge model.
We ended up going with a 2011 ST with a local second hand dealer today. Nice vehicle has air con in second row with controls behind center consol and master switch in front dash. Overall couldn't pick anything wrong with the vehicle so went ahead with it.
Would be awesome to have ac in third row, perhaps a project down the track.

G'day mate and welcome,
my 2008 3.0CRD ST model has an A/C vent under the passengers seat (only) directing air into the back but it's a pretty pathetic air flow.
There are no controls for it specifically.

Yeah, so make sure you seat the sensible child in the 2nd row middle or chaos will ensue ;)

A workmate has a 2010 with rear aircon, we have both cut a piece of air filter material & put it behind the inlet in the back to try to stop one of the dirt getting in to the evaporator.
