Hi Guys,
I am doing the timing belt of my GQ RB30 carby Patrol.
I'm wondering how to set the belt tension properly.
I have no special tools to do that.

Thanks in advance for any tips, advice.

P.S.
Below two pages are from Haynes manual.
I think the description and photos of the second page is not correct.
The pulley & the crank pulley oil seal in the second page can't be from the RB30 Patrol.
May be VL Commodore or R31 Skyline. I extracted the pages(pages 26-27 of section B of Chapter 2)

BTW, when I did the crank pulley oil seal, the outer lip was sticking out in few places around the edge of the crank shaft rod and the oil seal.
I applied grease on the lips of the oil seal, so that shouldn't have happened. I had to use the tip of screw driver to push the protruding lip bits back into
inside of it. The seal is the correct one from Burson.
I'll post a picture shortly.
I wonder what I did wrong.
