hi people new to this so bear with me. it was running on gas when i bought it but i want to run on petrol so i switched it over which took ages. got it going but wouldn't idle mate told me my carbie is probably blocked. ive put a fuel cleaner through her but probably should of drained the old fuel dont know how long it was in there for. got her going this morning very sluggishly but driving to work starts splattering or cutting out at just over 3000rpm gas and petrol. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

Chances are the previous owner only ever drove on LPG. The fuel in the tank and lines is probably stale and the carby will need a rebuild.

X2 with Tony...
Dual fuel trucks usually run like a dog on Petty because of Fuel Issues and LPG because of Spark Issues get 'em sorted and they don't go too bad at all.
1. Get rid of the old fuel ASAP and get some cleaner in there and/or an octane additive
2. Overhaul the Carby
3. Make sure the plugs are OK for LPG ( I much prefer Platinum Plugs for LPG donks) and put decent spiral wound Plug Leads on her (if they aren't already)
4. Consider boosting the spark with Coil mods and/or extended Rotor button
5 Check the timing, the prev owner may have it way advanced and set for LPG
Once you are confident you have great spark (good just doesn't cut it with LPG) and the Petrol and Carby are goodo then you can get an idea on what else (if anything) needs tweaking.

turned out to be the distributor and rotor button were stuffed. wasn't getting enough spark. pulled the carbie apart all seems good except when you rev her the secondaries are sticking open. thanks for the info thou.
