Hi all, just joined to check out the new Patrol. currently have a 200 series diesel that I use to tow a very heavy van a fair bit and was thinking about a new Patrol, while purchase price is very attractive not sure if petrol is the way to go.

G'day and welcome to the forum mate. Petrol or diesel? Depends on what your going to do with it. Diesel fuel is easier to buy to buy usually outback, but if your city to city touring you may like the petrol. Really depends on what your doing and where your going.

Gday mate, welcome to the forum. I think I'd be pretty happy with the power of the petrol V8, but the first thing I'd be doing is putting my bum in the seat of a Y62 and trying it out. If you're planning on towing a heavy van then it might be worth asking to test one with your van on (if that's doable)
